4 pigs feet
1 qt. strong vinegar
4 bay leaves
1/4 c. salt
1/2 onion and pepper (if you want)

Directions:
Directions:
Cover pigs feet with hot water and simmer until done. Place in jar taking out large bones. Save water for later use.

Heat vinegar with bay leaves, salt, etc. Simmer slowly for 45 minutes. Do not boil at any time. Remove cake of fat from top of cooking water from feet. Add about 1 quart water to vinegar. If vinegar is not strong use less water. Strain liquid and pour over meat in jar. Chill for 2 days.
