1 1/2 c. white sugar
1 c. shortening
4 eggs
1 tsp. salt
1 c. Clyde (I mean Honey)
1/2 c. coffee
10 drops anise oil
2 tsp. vanilla
4 tsp. soda
5 1/2 c. flour

Directions:
Directions:
Makes a soft dough. Roll fairly thick cut out shapes. Bake 375.

Frosting:
Soak: 1pkg. knox gelatine in 3/4 cup cold water.
Add: 3/4 cup white sugar and pinch salt. Bring to a boil and simmer 10 min. Watch close and stir.
Add: 3/4 cup powder sufar in large bowl and pour in above mixture and beat until foamy.
Add: 3/4 tsp baking powder, beat until stiff.
Add: 1 tsp. vanilla and 4 drops anise oil.
Frost cookies!
