Ingredients:  
2 c. bread cubes
4 c. milk, scalded
1 T. margarine
1/4 tsp. salt
3/4 c. sugar
4 slightly beaten eggs
1 tsp. vanilla

Sauce:
1 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
2 T. flour or 1 T. cornstarch
pinch of salt
1 c. hot water
1 T. margarine
1/2 to 1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350. Soak bread in milk 5 minutes. Add margarine, salt and sugar. Pour slowly over eggs; add vanilla and mix well. Pour into greased baking dish. Bake in pan of hot wateruntil firm, about 50 minutes. Serve warm with sauce. Recipe follows.

Stir sugar; flour/cornstarch; cinnamon; salt and hot water until sugar is dissolved. Add 1 T. margarine and vanilla to taste.
