Ingredients:  
2 sticks of margarine or butter, 1 cup water, 2 cups sugar, 2 cups and 2 T. flour, 1 tsp. salt, 3 eggs, 1/2 cup buttermilk, 1 tsp. baking soda, 1 tsp. lemon extract.

Frosting: 1 stick of margarine, 4 T. milk, 1 box powdered sugar, 1 tsp. lemon extract, 1 cup chopped pecans (optional).

Bring margarine and water to boil. Add other cake ingredients and mix well. Bake in a Texas sheet cake pan at 350 for 20-25 minutes.

Frosting: Bring margarine and milk to a boil. Add 1 box powdered sugar, 1 tsp. lemon extract, 1 cup chopped pecans if desired. Spread on warm cake.
