3 cans Italian green beans, drained
5 slices bacon
1 stick butter
1/2 tsp. garlic salt
1/3 cup brown sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Put beans in slow cooker, top with other ingredients. Cook on high for 4-6 hours, stirring occasionally very gently so as not to break the beans. Remove bacon before serving.

This recipe is very versatile and can be changed to suit the tastes of your family, i.e. less sugar or fat. We always double the beans but leave the amounts of bacon and butter the same.
