1-1/4 C. FLOUR
2 TBL. SUGAR
1 TSP BAKING POWDER
1/4 T SP SALT
OIL
POWDERED SUGAR

BEAT MILK AND EGG. BLEND DRY INGRED. AND GRADUALLY ADD MILK MIXTURE, BEATING CONSTANTLY UNTIL BATTER IS SMOOTH. HEAT OIL IN DEEP SKILLET (ABOUT 1/4 INCH DEEP) TILL HEAT REACHES 375 DEGREES.
FILL FUNNEL WITH BATTER AND USING CIRCEULAR MOVEMENT CENTER OUTWARD TO FORM A SPIRAL CAKE ABOUT 3" IMMEDIATELY REPLACE FINGER ON BOTTOM OF FUNNEL AND FORM ANOTHER CAKE - FRY UNTIL CAKES ARE PUFFY AND GOLDEN BROWN. TURNING OVER AND DRAIN CAKES ON PAPER, SPRINKLE WITH P. S ON TOP.
