1 gallon medium sized cucumbers
8 small white onions, sliced
1 green pepper
1 sweet red pepper
½ cup coarse salt (ice cream salt)
Cracked ice
5 cups sugar
1 ½ teaspoons tumeric
½ teaspoon ground cloves
2 tablespoons mustard seed
2 teaspoons celery seed
5 cups vinegar

Directions:
Directions:
Slice cucumbers thin. Add onion and peppers cut in narrow strips. Add salt; cover with cracked ice; mix thoroughly. Let stand 3 hours, drain. Combine remaining ingredients and pour over cucumber mixture. Heat to boiling; place in hot, sterilized jars, seal. Makes 8 pints.
