2 c. white sugar
1 c. vegetable oil
2 c. canned pumpkin
4 eggs
2 c. all purpose flour
3 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
3 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. chopped walnuts
1/4 c. applesauce
3 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. cloves

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350. Grease and flour a 12 x 18 inch pan. Sift together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, ginger and cloves. Set aside. In a large bowl combine sugar and oil. Blend in vanilla and pumpkin, then beat in eggs one at a time. Gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in nuts. Spread batter into prepared pan. Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into center of the cake comes out clean. Allow to cool and frost with cream cheese frosting.
