1 -12oz. pkg. frozen shredded potatoes
1/3 cup melted butter
2 T. diced green chilies
2 cups shredded cheese, Mozzarella, Swiss, or Jack
1 cup diced cooked ham
1/2 cup cream or milk
4 eggs
1/4 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
Optional:onions, mushrooms, sweet bell peppers

Directions:
Directions:
Coat pie plate with butter. Press thawed potatoes between paper towels to remove excess moisture. Spread potatoes in pie plate pressing against bottom and sides of pan to form a solid crust. Brush with melted butter. Bake 425 for 25 min. remove and add in layers; cheese, ham, chilies. Mix milk and eggs and salt and pepper. Pour over other ingredients. Bake 350 for 30-40 minutes.
