2 cups sugar
½ cup shortening
2 eggs
2 cups applesauce
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1 teaspoon clove or nutmeg
2 teaspoons chocolate
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons soda
2 ½ cups flour
1 cup chopped nuts (coated with flour)
1 cup raisins (coated with flour)

Directions:
Directions:
Beat eggs into shortening and sugar. Add applesauce, spices and chocolate. Sift together salt, soda and flour. Add to other ingredients. Mix thoroughly. Add nuts and raisins coated in flour. Bake in Bundt pan floured and greased for about 40 - 60 minutes or until done in a 350 degree oven.
