1/2 C Butter
1/2 C shortening
5 T cocoa
1 C water
2 C flour
2 C sugar
1t soda
2 eggs, beaten
1/2 C buttermilk (or sour milk)
Sour Milk: 1/2 T lemon juice or vinegar. Place in milk for 5 minutes.
1 1/2 t vanilla
3/4 t cinnamon

Frosting:
1/2 C butter
5 T cocoa
6 T milk
1 LB powdered sugar
1 1/2 t vanilla
1C chopped nuts

Directions:
Directions:
In a pan, bring to boil the butter, shortening, cocoa, and water. Mix dry ingrediants together. Addboiled mixture to dry ingrediants. Add eggs, buttermilk, and vanilla. Pour into a large cookie sheet and bake at 350 for 20 minutes.
Frosting:
Bring first 3 ingredients to boil and pour into powdered sugar. Add vanilla heat until smooth and pour through a netted strainer on a hot cake.
