1/2 c shortening or butter
1/2 c sugar
1/2 c brown sugar
1 egg, beaten
1 tsp vanilla
1 1/4 c flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp soda
6 oz chocolate chips
1/2 c raisins
1/2 c broken nuts
1/2 c coconut
1/4 c water, as needed

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening, egg, sugars and vanilla until fluffy. Sift together dry ingredients and stir into creamed mixture. Blend well. Add raisins, chips, nuts and coconut. Add water by teaspoons, if batter is too thick. Do not over thin. Drop by teaspoons 2" apart on a lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake for 10 minutes at 375 or until desired brownness.
