2 c sugar
3/4 c shortening
2 eggs
1 c milk
1 tsp vanilla
2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1/2 c cocoa
1 c boiling water
2 1/2 c flour

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening and sugar. Add unbeaten eggs one at a time. Beat well after each addition. Add vanilla to milk alternating milk with flour which has been sifted with salt, soda and cocoa. The alternating begins with flour and ends with flour. Add boiling water at once. Stir until well combined. Bake in a 350 oven for 25-30 minutes.
