3 c flour
2 c sugar
6 T baking cocoa
2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
2 c water
2/3 c oil
2 tsp white vinegar
2 tsp vanilla

1 c milk
1 - 3.9 oz instant chocolate pudding mix
8 oz frozen whipped cool whip, thawed

In a bowl, combine the first 5 ingredients. Add the water, oil, vinegar and vanilla. Beat on low speed for 1 minute. Beat on medium for 1 minute. Pour into a greased 13x9x2" baking pan. Bake at 350 for 40-45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool on a wire rack.

FROSTING: In a bowl, beat the milk and pudding mix for 2 minutes. Beat in whipped topping. Spread over cake. Refrigerate leftovers.
