2 oz. unsweetened chocolate
1 stick butter, softened
1 c. sugar
1 large egg
1/2 tsp. vanilla
3/4 c. whole wheat flour
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/2 c. chopped walnuts

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350. Melt chocolate in small bowl in microwave on high for 1 minute. Stir until chocolate is completely melted.
In a large bowl, beat butter with sugar. Beat in egg and vanilla. Stir in melted chocolate, then flour and baking soda. Add chocolate chips and nuts.
Drop by rounded teaspoons onto an ungreased baking sheet. Bake about eight minutes. Bottom will be firm. Cool on wire rack.
