3/4 cup shortening
1 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup molasses
1 egg
2 cups flour
1/4 tsp salt
2 tsp soda
2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp ginger
1/2 tsp cloves

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening, sugar, and molasses. Add egg, then dry ingredients. Make into balls and roll in sugar. Bake at 375 for 10 minutes. May need to chill dough.
