Melt chocolate chips and 1/2 C sugar in double boiler. Set aside. Combine cracker crumbs, 2 tbsp. sugar and melted butter and put in bottom of springform pan. Pat down with fingers or back of a spoon. Beat cream cheese till light. Add 3/4 C sugar. Mix in sour cream and vanilla. Add eggs one at a time and mix well. Divide batter in half. Stir chocolate mixture into one half. Pour chocolate half into pan. Cover with plain batter. With a table knife swirl the batter so you see some white and chocolate mix.
