Batter:

1 Cup Flour
2 TSP Baking Powder
1 TSP Salt
1/2 Cup Sugar
1/4 Cup Shortening
1 Egg
1/2 Cup Milk

Filling:

1 Quart Berries
1 Cup Sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Mix all batter ingredients together & spread into bottom of 9 x 13 baking dish sprayed with Pam.

Mix 1 cup sugar & 1 quart berries (with juice) and spread on the above layer.

Bake 350 for 50 to 60 minutes.

Cake will come to the top.
