8 chicken breasts
1 tsp garlic powder
10 slices bacon
1 cup medium onion
1/2 cup chopped celery
1 cup diced ham
2 cups tomatoes
1 tbsp parsley
1/2 tsp thyme
1 tsp salt
1-2 tsp Creole seasoning
1/8 tsp Tabasco sauce, or more to add spice
2 cups boiling water
cornstarch, for thickening after cooking

Directions:

Wash chicken and remove skin. Sprinkle with garlic powder and set aside. Cook bacon until crisp, remove from pan and crumble. Place chicken, onion and celery in pan and brown. Add bacon, ham, tomatoes, seasonings and water to chicken mixture. Cover and cook for 35 minutes at 375. When done, thicken gravy by dissolving 2 tbsp cornstarch in 1/4 cup water and add to chicken mixture. Serve over rice.

A favorite Boy Scout Dutch oven recipe. Sometimes I use part shrimp, part chicken. Could be used with shrimp instead of chicken. Another Clark beach trip must have.
