2 lbs. ground beef
2 Tbsp. shortening
2 cups chopped onion
2 cloves garlic, crushed
3 Tbsp. chili powder
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. paprika
1 tsp. oregano
1 tsp. ground cumin
1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper
1/2 cup beef stock
1 28-oz. can tomatoes
3 1-lb. cans red kidney beans

Heat shortening in skillet and brown beef, discarding fat.
Combine all ingredients in cooker, stirring well.
Cook on low 8-10 hours, on high 5 hours, or on automatic 6 hours.
