1 cup shortening
2 cups sugar
4 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
3 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 can cherry pie filling

Directions:
Directions:
Blend shortening and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla, flour and salt. Mix well; batter will be of cookie consistency. Spread 3/4 batter on ungreased jelly roll pan. Spread cherry pie fillig over batter. Pour remaining batter "here and there" over top.

Bake at 350 for 35 minutes.
