1/2 cup shortening
1/2 cup butter
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 eggs
2 3/4 cups flour
2 teaspoons cream of tartar
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons sugar
3 teaspoons cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
Mix first 8 ingredients together and shape into balls.

Mix 3 tablespoons of sugar and 3 teaspoons cinnamon together in a small bowl.

Roll balls in sugar/cinnamon mixture.

Place 2 inches apart on greased baking sheets.

Bake at 400 for 10-12 minutes.
