4 c. flour
3/4 c. sugar
1/2 lb. butter
1/2 t. salt
1 pkg. dry yeast
1 c. warm water, 105 degrees
2 egg yolks
2 egg whites

Directions:
Directions:
Mix the yeast and warm water together and set aside. Mix first 4 ingredient together like pie dough. Add remaining ingredients except egg whites. Mix well. Let rise 1 hour. Divided into 4 parts and roll out thin.
FILLING:
1 lb. ground walnuts
3/4 c. sugar
Enough milk too make a paste
Mix the sugar and walnuts together adding enough milk to make a paste like soft butter. Spread this paste on each of the rolled out crusts. Roll each crust up like a jelly roll. Score tops of each roll and place 2 on a cookie sheet. Beat egg white to a stiff peak, add 1 T. sugar if desired. Brush egg white coating over each strudel.Bake in a 350 oven for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown
