1c all purpose flour
1/4 c white sugar
1/2 c butter, softened
1/4 c all purpose flour
1/4 c unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 tsp baking powder
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
1 (7 oz) bar of milk chocolate, chopped
3/4 c chopped walnuts (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. In a medium bowl, stir together 1 cup all purpose flour and sugar. Cut in butter until the mixture is crumbly. Press firmly into the bottom of a 9x9 baking pan.
2. Bake for 15 minutes, until firm and golden brown. Set aside.
3. In a medium bowl, mix 1/4 cup flour, baking powder, and cocoa powder. MAke a well in the center, and add the egg, vanilla, and sweetened condensed milk. Mix until well blended. Stir in the chopped chocolate and walnuts. Spread the mixture over the cooled crust.
4. Bake for 20 minutes, until the brownies begin to pull away from the edges and the top appears dry. Cool and cut into squares. Store tightly covered at room temperature.
