1 1/2 c. dark Karo Syrup
1 c. light brown sugar
3 eggs, beaten
2 1/2 c. pecans (pieces or halves)
2 tsp. pure vanilla extract
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. butter, melted (no substitute)
2 Frozen Pie Shells (not deep dish)

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Combine all ingredients except melted butter in mixing bowl.
Add melted and stir to incorporate.
Divide between 2 frozen pie shells.
Place pies on cookie sheet to catch any drips.
Bake for approximately 40 minutes on middle rack.
Cool completely before cutting.
Serve with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
