1 c. melted shortening
2 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp. baking soda in 2 Tbsp. hot water
5 Tbsp. cocoa, rounded
3 1/2 - 4 c. flour
1 c. buttermilk

Frosting:
4 Tbsp. butter, melted
2 Tbsp. cocoa
4 Tbsp. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
powdered sugar, until desired consistancy

Preheat oven to 325.

Mix all ingredients well. Drop by tablespoonfuls on greased cookie sheets. Bake for 12 minutes. Cool and frost.
