1/4 c. butter
1 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking powder
1 can sour cherries, drained
1/2 c. sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350.

Melt butter in a 8-inch square pan. Make a batter of flour, sugar, milk, vanilla, and baking powder. Mix until smooth. Pour over butter in pan. Pour cherries on top of batter. DO NOT MIX. Sprinkle 1/2 cup sugar over cherries. Bake for 35-40 or until brown on top.

Note: Double this recipe for 9 x 13 inch pan.
