Sift together:
2 1/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. powdered sugar
Cut in 1 c. soft butter until mixture resembles corn meal.
Beat 1 egg until light.
Add egg and 2 tsp. vanilla over mixture.

Directions:
Blend well and form into a ball. Dough may be chilled if desired. Roll out on floured board 1/3 at a time to 1/8 inch thickness. Cut into desired shapes. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 - 12 minutes.
