1 c. all purpose flour
3/4 c. sugar
2 tbsp. and 1/4 c. baking cocoa , divided
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. milk
2 tbsp. vegetable oil
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 c. dark brown sugar
1-3/4 c. hot water

Directions:

Mix flour, sugar, 2 tbsp. baking cocoa, baking powder and salt in a large bowl. Stir in milk, oil, and vanilla. Spread into a non-stick 9" x 9" pan. In a small bowl, mix the brown sugar and 1/4 c. baking cocoa together and then sprinkle over the top of the mixture in pan. Next, pour the hot water over the mixture: DO NOT STIR.

Bake in preheated 350 oven 30-40 minutes or until cake 'tests' done.
