6 Large Red Delicious Apples;
1 stick real butter;
1 cup granulated sugar;
Pinch of salt

Directions:
Directions:
In a high-sided skillet (do not use a teflon-like), melt the butter. Add the apples that have been cored, quartered and sliced cross-wise, sugar and pinch of salt. Stir well to integrate the sugar. Keep the heat on medium-high and stir often. It will be juicy at first, then begin to reduce and become carmelized, but not candied. Apples will be translucient. This will be VERY hot, be careful.
