Ingredients:  
1 1/2 lb good ground beef; 1 med. onion, chopped; 1/4 green onion minced; 1 lb can diced tomatoes;
1/3 cup dark karo syrup; 1 1/2 T. corn starch; 1 tsp. chili powder; 1 bay leaf. 2 c. uncooked shell macaroni; 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese.

Directions:
Directions:
Saute' onion and green pepper until tender. Add meat and cook on medium heat until done.
Drain 1/4 cup juice from tomatoes, add syrup, corn starch and chili powder, mix well. Set aside.
Cook macaroni in salted water to al dente. Add all to meat mixture except cheese. Stir until slightly thickened. Pour into 9x13 greased pan, stick in the bay leaf. Bake at 350 for 30-35 minutes until bubbly. Turn oven off, sprinkle cheese on top and leave in oven until melted. Serve hot
