10 bacon slices, diced
1/2 cup onion chopped
1 lb. fresh asparagus, trimmed
1 cup (4 oz.) Swiss cheese shredded
1 tbsp. flour
1/4 tsp salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
3 eggs, slightly beaten
1/2 cup Half and Half cream
1 unbaked pie shell

Preheat oven 350 In skillet cook bacon until crisp. Remove and drain on paper towel. Reserve 1 tbsp. drippings. In the drippings saute onion until lightly brown. Drain.

Cut eight asparagus spears for garnish. Cut remain asparagus into 1 inch pieces. In sauce skillet cook all asparagus in small amount of water until crisp and tender. Drain

In bowl toss bacon, salt, pepper, onion, cheese flour and asparagus pieces. Pour into unbaked pie crust. garnish with the reserved asparagus spears, press slightly in mixture. Bake about 1 hour or or until firm. Cool slightly before serving.
