Ingredients:
1 c. all purpose flour
3 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
2 T. shortening
3/4 mashed sweet potato
1/3 c. milk
1/2 tsp. cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400. In a medium bowl, stir together the flour, baking powder, sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Cut in the shortening until the mixture resembles cornmeal. Mix in the sweet potatoes, and enough of the milk to make a soft dough. Turn dough out onto a floured surface and roll out to 1/2 inch thickness. Cut into circles using a biscuit cutter or a drinking glass. Make sure to go straight down and don't twist as it will seal the edges and prevent them from rising. Place biscuits 1 inch apart onto a greased baking sheet. Bake for 12-15 minutes in the preheated oven or until golden brown.
