1 c. diced carrots
1 small onion, chopped fine
1 1/2 c. green beans
1 c. peas
4 T. butter
4 T. flour
2 c. hot milk
1/2 lb. american cheese, diced
1/2 tsp. salt
1 can refrigerated biscuits

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven 400. Place the vegetables in a buttered casserole dish. Melt the butter in a saucepan and blend in the flour. Add the milk slowly and cook stirring constantly until the sauce is thick. Add the cheese and salt and stir until the cheese is melted. Pour the cheese sauce over the vegetables and bake for 30 minutes. Remove the casserole from the oven and place the biscuits around the edge of the casserole dish. Bake another 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
