1 3/4 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. peanut butter
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
1 egg, unbeaten
1 tsp. vanilla
1 pkg. chocolate kisses (if desired)

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375º.

Mix flour, soda, and salt. Set aside. In a large bowl cream together butter, peanut butter, sugar and brown sugar. Add egg, and vanilla. Beat well. Add dry ingredients gradually. Mix thoroughly.

Drop by teaspoonful on a ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake for 8 minutes. Remove from oven and place a chocolate kiss (if desired) on top of each cookie pressing down firmly so cookie cracks around the edge.
Return cookies to oven and bake 2-5 minutes longer until golden brown.
