3-4 onions
1 egg yolk, slightly beaten
1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. melted Crisco
oil for deep frying

Directions:
Directions:
Clean onions and cut into 1/4 inch slices and separate.
Combine egg, milk, flour, salt, and 1 tsp. melted Crisco. Mix well. Dip onions rings into batter and fry in 3/4 inch of Crisco heated to 365 in skillet. Cook until lightly browned. Drain on paper towel. Salt (if desired). Serve hot.
