1 lb. hamburger
4 small potatoes, quartered
4 carrots, sliced
1 onion, sliced
Salt & Pepper, to taste
1 sm. can tomato sauce

Directions:
Directions:
Make hamburger into four patties. On a large piece of heavy foil, shiny side up, center the hamburger pattie and layer the remaining ingredients, except tomato sauce. Sprinkle with salt and pepper and top each pattie with 1/4 can of tomato sauce.

Bring up sides of foil and fold over to seal. Place on cookie sheet and bake at 400 for 1 hour, turning 3 to 4 times during baking.

This was the first recipe I learned to cook in Girl Scouts; however, we cooked them over the coals of our campfire.
