1 T shortening
1 1/2 c sugar
1 c milk
1 tsp nutmeg
5 potatoes mashed (size of an egg)
1 tsp salt
3 eggs
4 heaping tsps baking powder

Directions:
Directions:
Cream the potatoes and butter. Add sugar and beaten eggs. Stir in milk. Add nutmeg, salt, flour and baking powder. Add enough flour to the dough so that it is stiff enough to roll. Roll dough on floured surface until 1/4 in thick , cut with doughnut cutter and fry in hot fat until golden on both sides.
