1/2 c. sugar, 2 beaten egg yolks, 1 1/2 T. flour, 1/4 t. salt, 1/2 c. Ancini De Pepe Macaroni, 1 can mandarin oranges, 16 oz. can crushed pineapple, (save 1 c. juice) 12 oz. Cool Whip.

Directions:
Directions:
Cook sugar, egg yolks, flour, salt & pineapple juice until thick, stirring constantly. Remove from heat & cool. Cook macaroni until tender, being careful not to over-cook. Drain & rinse with cold water until cool; drain again. Mix macaroni & custard & refrigerate overnight. The next morning, add drained pineapple, mandarin oranges & cool whip.

I always double this recipe. It refrigerates well for several days (if there is any left!). It's a very sweet salad & could be used as a dessert.
Peculiar name but the cooked macaroni really does look like frog eyes!
