2/3 c. water
1/3 c. uncooked long grain white rice
8 cabbage leaves, washed and patted dry
1 lb. lean ground beef
1/4 c. chopped onion
1 egg, slightly beaten
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. black pepper
10.75 oz. condensed tomato soup

Directions:

In a medium sauce pan bring the water to a boil. Add the rice and stir. Reduce heat and cover and simmer for 20 minutes. In a larger pot bring 6 cups of lightly salted water to a boil. Add the cabbage leaves to the boiling water and cook for 2 minutes and drain. In a medium mixing bowl combine the ground beef, 1 cup of the cooked rice, onion, egg, salt, pepper and 2 tablespoons of the tomato soup. Mix thoroughly. Divide the beef mixture evenly among the cabbage leaves. Roll the leaves up around the meat like a burrito and secure them with toothpicks. Place the rolls in a slow cooker and pour the remainder of the tomato soup over top. Turn the slow cooker to low and cook for 4-6 hours.
