1 cup butter, 1 1/2 cup white sugar, 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla, 3 1/2 cups flour, 1 tsp. baking soda, 1/2 tsp. salt, 2 tsp. cream of tartar, 3 eggs.

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter, sugar and vanilla until very creamy and fluffy. Add eggs. Beat until fluffy. Sift together dry ingredients. Blend together. Pour out onto wax paper. Cover well and seal tight in container and refrigerate several hours or overnight. On lightly floured surface, roll 1/8 inch thick. Cut into desired shapes. Bake on ungreased baking sheet for approx. 6 min at 375 degrees. Cool and frost.

Tory and I have made these cookies for years. One Christmas we made a total of 66 dozen in one weekend. Avery and Landon love to help me make these cookies. We make them for every Holiday of the year.
