1 1/2 c chopped dates
1 tsp soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 c boiling water
1 T butter
1 c sugar
1 tsp baking powder
1 beaten egg
1 tsp vanilla


Directions:
Directions:
Mix the first 3 ingredients and set aside. Mix the next 5 ingredients and then mix the two together, then add flour and nuts. Pour into 9 x 13 greased and floured pan. Bake at 350 for 40 minutes. Top with cream when serving.
