1 cup shortening
1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/4 cups flour
1/2 cup cocoa
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2 cups chocolate chips
2 cups quick oats

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 350. Beat shortening, sugar, eggs and vanilla until creamy. Add flour, cocoa, baking soda, and salt. Mix well. Stir in oats and chocolate chips. Drop by spoonful onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 9-10 minutes. Cool 2 minutes before removing from cookie sheet.
