"As I ate the oysters with their strong taste of the sea and their faint metallic taste that the cold white wine washed away, leaving only the sea taste and the succulent texture, and as I drank their cold liquid from each shell and washed it down with the crisp taste of the wine, I lost the empty feeling and began to be happy, and to make plans."--Ernest Hemingway

Bake sweet potatoes ahead of time - about an hour until soft.

Peel potatoes and slice into chunks. Place potatoes into a 9 x 13 glass pan. Cover with slices of butter.

Mix together in a bowl - brown sugar and corn syrup. Heat in microwave for about 60 seconds or until melted. Pour over potatoes and butter. Sprinkle a little more brown sugar on top. (Sometimes I sprinkle cinnamon or pecans on top.)

Bake at 350 for about 30 minutes...place marshmallows on top for the last 5 minutes or so.
