Notes: The first time I had this recipe I was at a friends house playing cards. After some time she said "I made some cake for dessert" and brought it out. I quickly noticed the cake had no frosting and since I have quite the sweet tooth I was not excited to eat a cake without frosting. I was ready to decline when I saw her take out the hot butter sauce and I quickly changed my mind. I'm sure glad I did because this is one of the best cakes I've ever had. I've taken it to a few events and it's always a hit and I've even had special requests for it a few times.
