French Onion Soup Recipe

3 onions sliced thin
1/2 c butter
6 cans beef consume
2 cups water
1 1/2 c grated swiss cheese

Directions:
Directions:
Saute onion and add consume and water. Boil 10 min. Add salt and pepper to taste. Place sprinkled cheese over and broil 3- 4 minutes in individual serving bowls.

I use a slice of french bread in the soup then the cheese.
