2 eggs
2 c milk
1/2 c sugar
1 tsp nutmeg
4 c stale bread, cubed

Vanilla sauce:
1/2 c sugar
2 tbsp cornstarch
1 c water
2 tbsp butter
1 tsp vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Beat eggs, milk, sugar and spices. Pour over bread and let stand for 1 hour. Bake 30 minutes at 350 in a pudding dish.
To make vanilla sauce: Cook sugar, cornstarch and water until thick. Then add butter and vanilla. Pour over bread pudding when serving-serve warm.
