1 quart northern beans
1/2 tsp soda
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup bacon or salt pork
1/2 to 3/4 cup brown sugar
2 cups blended tomatoes
1 Tbsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1/tsp dry mustard
2 Tbsp molasses

Directions:
Directions:
Soak northern beans overnight.
In morning cover with water and 1/2 tsp soda.
Boil til tender.
Place in roaster with remaining ingredients.
Bake at low heat (3 to 5 hours) 250 to 300 degrees.
