1/2 c. Cold Water
2 envelopes unflavored gelatin
1/2 c Sugar
1 c Light Corn Syrup
1 1/2 tsp. Vanilla

1/2 c Cornstarch
1/2 C sifted Confectioners' sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Pour the water into a 2 quart saucepan. Sprinkle the gelatin over the water and let stand to soften about 5 minutes. Stir constantly over low heat until the gelatin dissolves about 3 minutes. Add the sugar and corn syrup; stirring constantly, cook until the sugar is dissolved about 1 minute. Off heat, stir in the vanilla
In the large bowl of an electric mixer, at high speed, beat the gelatin mixture until it thickens and is a soft marshmallow consistency about 5 minutes. Turn into prepared pan. With lightly buttered spatula, spread evenly. Let stand, uncovered at room temperature to dry for 8 to 12 hours. After cutting Marshmallows in sq or shapes coat with remaining cornstarch mixture.
To prepare pan combine cornstarch and confectioners' sugar in a small bowl. Butter 8X8 pan ; sprinkle with some of the cornstarch coating mixture.
