3/4 cup sugar
2 cups milk
pat of butter or margarine
pinch of salt
1 tsp. vanilla
3 eggs
1 unbaked pie crust
nutmeg (if desired)

Directions:
Directions:
Over direct heat, bring sugar, milk, butter and salt almost to boil. Beat eggs with vanilla. Pour the first mixture slowly over the eggs, beating constantly. Pour mixture into pie crust and sprinkle with nutmeg. Bake at 350 about 30 minutes or until a knife inserted into middle comes out clean. Do not overcook.
